Avery Jenkins promotes disc golf at the Creative Loafing Oktoberfest yesterday in Charlotte, NC. Matt Peckham and Brian Mace lead the charge to add a nine hole course and a head to head putting station to the Beer Olympic Village. Both events were very popular among all the attendees striding by, grasping white knuckled to their 8oz taster glass. Every time the sound of glass breaking filled the air, a chorus of OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHH, followed by a red face and another person cut off for the day.

There was a non stop stream of people dying to get their 5 putts at the distance of 30 feet trying to best the last guy. And the 9 hole pitch and putt was a hit as discs were checked out all day. Avery was seen giving help to some new born disc golfers. As Avery parked a 281′ hole, a shout came from an adjacent hole, “Great shot! You are pretty good at this.”
